COVID-19 Relief Fund

In response to the many anticipated local needs resulting from the social distancing and shelter-in-place measures enacted by state government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fairfield County Foundation (FCF) and the United Way of Fairfield County (UWFC) have teamed up to establish the Fairfield County COVID-19 Relief Fund. The newly established fund will provide flexible grant resources, up to $5,000, to qualified charitable organizations operating in Fairfield County that are directly supporting residents whose basic needs are going unmet due to COVID-19.

FCF and UWFC will administer the collection and distribution of funds in close collaboration with a coalition of community stakeholders and advisors, which reflects the diversity of the community. This group will participate in weekly conference calls to share what’s happening and to help inform immediate outbreak relief and longer-term recovery needs.

Interested in Applying for a Grant?

Non-profits interested in receiving funding must complete a COVID-19 Relief Fund Application and submit the application to either Amy Eyman or Scott Reed. The Grant Oversite Committee will begin meeting bi-monthly on May 4th and distributions will be made on a rolling basis as fundraising continues throughout the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis.
